なんだかずーっと気になっていたこの本。
表紙の窓からのぞいているのはカリグラフィーキット。内容は、竹のペン軸（先を自分でカットして使用）、ペンホルダー、ペン先（ミッチェルのバッタもの3種・HIROのオートマチック・カッパー用の計5本）、リザーバー（これもミッチェルのバッタモノ。穴が星形でかわいいv）、インクカートリッジ（なぜかカートリッジのみ・・・）、ゴールドフォイル（金箔代わり？）
こう書くとなんだか怪しげですが、本の部分はフルカラーでそれなりにおもしろいです。ファンデーショナルやイタリック・アンシャル・カッパーの書体学習はさらっとふれている程度ですが、experimentation（演習）のコーナーは作品作りのヒントにもなりそうです。
2章はProject。アルファベット1文字だけを使ったグリーティングカード、ゴールドフォイルをつかったインビテーションカード、ワインラベルやレターヘッド、ネームカードなどなど・・・それなりの演出が満載です。巻末には各書体のガイドシート付き。
このキットを自分で使う気はないけど・・・人にプレゼントするにはおもしろ本だなぁとおもいます。
最近はカリグラフィーの道具とマニュアルのKit本が結構ヒットするようです。（2005.9）
